BIBLE IN A YEAR: Psa 25-27
PRIMARY TASK
MEMORIZE: "To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood" (Galatians 1:16)
READ: John 1:6-8
John the Baptist knew his origin and mission on earth, and fulfilled it. Although born by earthly parents, John 1:6 says John was sent from God. We all come from God. God has a definite, specific plan for your life. You can never have a true sense of fulfillment until this heavenly mission is accomplished. God sent John Zacharias into the world as a bridge between the Old Testament prophets and the new. He came to tell people about the Lamb of God. Unlike many leaders, John successfully completed his assignment in his early 30’s. What’s most important to God is not how long you live on earth; after all, you have the whole of eternity with Him if you are truly born again and living right; But that you finish your assignment. In God’s time-table, many of us are heavily indebted - that is, we are far behind where Heaven expects us to be by now. Some people have almost exhausted their time on earth, yet it is either they have not yet known why they are here, or have gone nowhere.
My father in the Lord - Pa Akindayomi of blessed memory usually described life With vivid illustrations. Once he compared life to roadside workers who are allotted a portion of the road to be worked upon, by their supervisor. Immediately, the task was done, the workers were free to go. If a fast and diligent worker started at 8.00am and was through by 10.00am, he was at liberty to go, while his colleagues who delayed may be required to stay much longer. I had imagined I came into this world to become the youngest vice chancellor. But after the Lord saved me, He changed that ambition. He told me He did not send me to the university to become the youngest vice chancellor, but to use my knowledge of Mathematics in preaching the Gospel. Who am I to do otherwise?
After Paul was saved, and got to know why he was on earth, he never consulted
with any man whether to dump his Ph.D. degree in law and become a preacher or not. If you know why you are here, you will never be intimidated by the successes or failures of those around you. You will remain committed to your primary heavenly assignment. Have you discovered God’s ultimate plan for your life? Don’t be deceived by the seeming success you are recording in a particular area. Many people are succeeding in a secondary assignment, whereas they are nothing close to their primary task for which they shall account to God. Ask the Lord to show you what He created you to achieve on earth. And ask for grace to
accomplish it.
ACTIONPOINT: Although there are several vacant thrones in Heaven, not every believer will occupy them. If you can satisfactorily perform your primary earthly task, you will be a king in Heaven.

AMEN!...WE should take this prayer point given to us at the action point very seriously....
LONG AGO, my little and very minute thinking when i didnt know christ well was,if i was a slave in heaven, it is so so so okay with me and i prefered it...how little and unreasonable was my thinking and understanding..i didnt know mighty and greater things were ahead. i was thinking that way because i didnt want to work for GOD, so i was looking for the smallest position to achieve in the kingdom of heaven....but i only THANK GOD for a turn around and changed life...
WHAT AM I TRYING TO SAY?.....u can seek GOD, he can reveal your primary assignment to you, but if u choose to be lazy...ur thinking wont be different to what you just read above (LOOKING FOR THE EASY WAY OUT)...THANT WOULD NOT BE ANY OF OUR PORTION IN JESUS NAME....AMEN!
