BIBLE IN A YEAR: Ezek. 31-33

EFFECTS OF A REPORT

MEMORIZE: "Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life" (Proverbs 4:23)

READ: Joshua 14:6-8

A look at today’s reading and Numbers 13:27-33, tells us certain things about report. Your assessment of a situation influences its outcome. In life, your views must be handled with lots of caution to enable you achieve your expected result. The first lesson here is that your report or response to life’s challenges determines the degree to which you follow God. Your report will show whether you follow Him fully, closely or from a distance, like Peter in Mark 14:54. It will also show if you are not following Him at all. What does your report speak concerning you? Accepting an evil report- a report below God’s Word means you have stopped following Him. “The light of the eyes rejoiceth the heart: and a good report maketh the bones fat” (Proverbs 15:30). A report either adds or subtracts.

A report either weakens or fortifies the hearer. If you are always dampening the spirit of others through your words, you are an evil reporter; You are pulling down what God is building. Any statement written or spoken that cannot add something to somebody’s life is a bad report. Avoid it. Another lesson is that the quality of a report is determined by what fills the heart of the reporter. In Joshua 14:7, Caleb said his report came from his heart. Since his heart was filled with faith, when the hopeless situation concerning the promised land was fed into it, the end-result was hope. It does not matter how bad your situation or circumstance is, if your heart is full of faith, you will come out with a favorable outcome. This also tells us not to wait until the unexpected happens before we panic for solutions from God’s Word. Feed your heart steadily with the Word.

As long as your heart is right, it will definitely affect your end-result. “Keep thy heart with all diligence: for out of it are the issues of life” (Proverbs 4:23). Reports emanates from the heart. It is the state of your heart that gives shape and meaning to developments around you. Hence, 1 John 4:4 says, “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world”. Jesus Christ is the Lord of the universe, the Almighty God. He can do all things. But in some of us,

He is very little because He will only occupy the space we give Him in our hearts. If situations and circumstances still embarrass you, it is because the presence of Jesus in your life is too insignificant to overcome the forces outside. For Jesus to grow in your heart, soak yourself in God’s Word regularly, studying, memorizing and meditating on it. Also put it into practice. The God inside you is not more than God’s Word you hide in your heart. If you want your heart to continue to dictate the outcome of situations you meet, stick with God’s Word. Draw closer to Jesus and be filled with His Spirit.

ACTIONPOINT: Let no corrupt speech come out of your mouth from today. Lift others by your words of encouragement.

-Draw closer onto jesus and be filled with his spirit.
-let only positive words come from your mouth
renew your heart regularly and ALWAYS...{'out of the abundance of the heart, the motuh speaks'matt 12 vs 23}. In short, if the heart is filled with junks and a bunch of 'eeewws'...what will come out of the mouth will be junks too, and that is dangerous and evil...and it needs to be stoped or else the individual wants a taste of GODS big stick of discipline( thats not gonna be funny)
let your words be filled with encouragement....u never know maybe the little thing you say can change someones life forever (please be careful).
And lastly....u NEED THE WORD OF GOD...its like food to your spirit.
-STUDY the WORD OF GOD

ONLY TO GOD BE ALL THE GLORY!....AMEN!
