BIBLE IN A YEAR: Psa. 1-3

HELL'S BREEDING GROUND

MEMORIZE: "Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body " (1 Cor. 6:18)

READ: Proverbs 5:1-11

“But her end is bitter as wormwood, sharp as a two edged sword” (Proverbs 5:4). Another evil of fornication on fornicators is that it serves them bitterness as a three-course meal. When Israel got to Marah, the water was bitter. But before they left, it became sweet through a divine intervention. The bitterness that fornication serves its captives is far worse! You cannot live in fornication and enjoy the joy of the Lord. If your life has been surrounded by bitterness, examine yourself, and make sure the cause is not sin of immorality. If it is, immediately repent, separate from the sinful partner, soak yourself in God’s Word, obey God completely, and occupy your mind with scriptures. Pray regularly in the spirit and avoid all polluted TV - programmes, pornographic materials and x-rated films.

Another evil of fornication is that it brings the sinner very close to death and hell. A fornicator is a step away from death. Every act of lust or sexual sin committed, makes reservations for the fornicator in hell. If you can keep away from sexual sins, agents of death will keep their distance from you. Every fornicator attracts agents of death. There is a close link between fornication, death and hell. A local transporter who conveyed market women to village markets, went on a particular trip. Due to some delays, they had to lodge somewhere that night enroute their destination. Later that same night, one of his female passengers pressurized him into sleeping with her. After some resistance, he consented. While they were in adultery, he died. The woman screamed, and people rushed there only to meet his corpse. From fornication, he died and went straight to hell! Are you a fornicator? Repent and turn a new leaf today. You may not survive the next act of fornication!

“Lest thou give thine honor unto others, and thy years unto the cruel” (Proverbs 5:9). Fornication also robs fornicators of honor and waste their years. Through one act of fornication you can lose your testimony and ministry built over several years. Some women are deceived. They believe if they can sleep with an anointed man of God, the anointing will destroy their long standing problem - particularly barrenness. It is a lie from the pit of hell! Before both the woman and the pastor venture into fornication,if he was truly a man of God, the anointing in the person of the Holy Spirit would have left. Any pastor who asks to sleep with you to get you to conceive, is a false prophet and does not have the Holy Spirit. In some churches, fornication is accommodated: members with members, members with pastors fornicate freely, irrespective of their marital status. That is hell’s breeding place! If you are in such a church, flee for your life!

ACTIONPOINT: Fornication is the express way to hell. If you are on that way, nothing can halt that journey except you!
