BIBLE IN A YEAR: Luk. 7-9

ATTRACTING HEAVEN'S ATTENTION.

MEMORIZE: "When Jesus saw their faith, he said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee" (Mark 2:5)

READ: Mark 10:46-52

Whenever Heaven visits the earth, not everyone gets attended to. Usually in the midst of a multitude, only a few individuals get Heaven’s attention. In today’s reading, and Matthew 8:1-3, a great multitude followed Jesus, but only one fellow got Heaven’s attention. You will get Heaven’s attention today! Occasionally, it is Heaven that decides the fellow to be attended to. In the name of Jesus, Heaven will decide in your favor this season. In many cases, it is the fellow who desires Heaven’s attention, that provokes divine selection.

How can you attract heaven’s attention? By a heavenly life-style. In Job 1:8, God bragged about Job to Satan. God carefully watches and notes those who do His will; Anytime He is passing by, He would have identified such a fellow for special attention. Have you refused to compromise? Have you remained true and faithful to God in the midst of fire, and adverse winds? Continue to stand firm. The Lord notes all your good works. Very soon, they will announce you to the King of kings. Another way of securing Heaven’s attention is by demonstrating rugged faith. In Mark 2:1-12, Jesus saw the faith of four young men and healed their friend. Sometime ago, someone wrote me saying, “Sir, I don’t need you to come and lay hands on me. As soon as you read this letter, I know my miracle has reached me”.

I was dancing in my car while reading the letter because I was assured the individual would get his miracle. A week later, the fellow wrote to say he is certain I read his letter because he has received his miracle. Release your faith today and you will receive your miracle. You can also provoke Heaven to attend to you through giving. A young and wealthy king who needed wisdom, started to research on how to get Heaven’s attention. One day, he decided to do what nobody had ever done. In 2 Chronicles 1:6-12, he offered 1000 burnt offerings to God. The priest could not believe his eyes. God took notice and that night, He visited him and gave him something that makes him remain unique till now. In Mark 12:42-44, a poor widow gave all she had and Jesus took notice. Some people have continued to peg their offerings and seeds. Break the ceiling over your gift and give something you have never given so as to be noticed by God.

ACTIONPOINT
There are at least one million things nobody has ever done. Think of just one of them. Do it to God's glory and you will get His attention.
