CONDITIONS FOR COMMUNION GOODIES
MEMORIZE: "Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Are all workers of miracles?" (1 Cor. 12:29)
READ: Exodus 12:29-32
One meal believers should not miss is the uncommon meal - the Holy Communion. From today's reading, we see some other benefits from the meal. When you take the Holy Communion, it can provoke a diversionary judgment on your enemies. That is, your enemies will be hit below the belt, and lose something very priceless to them, that they will be forced to let you go in order to nurse their predicament. Every unrelenting oppressor in your life will suffer a fatal blow that will cause the fellow to leave you for good in Jesus' Name.
The Yoruba's believe that if you eat a particular charm called 'awure', promotion will come to you. Good luck will follow you wherever you turn. If this is true, why is it that those who prepare it are as wretched as ever? Why does it not positively affect their fortune? True promotion comes from taking the Holy Communion. After the Israelites ate this meal, Pharaoh told them: "Also take your flocks and your herds, as ye have said, and be gone, and bless me also" (Exodus 12:32). The incomparable meal is the source of unusual promotion. Slaves who remained slaves just the previous day had become so dramatically elevated that their former master began to beg them to bless him. There is somebody using this Devotional who after partaking of this meal, those who have been treating you like a servant will come and bow down to you. They will feel honored to become your servant.
The type and purpose of a meal will determine how it is eaten. In Exodus 12:3-11, the Lord gave specific instructions on how to take the Passover meal. This uncommon meal is so powerful and capable of several effects hence it must be eaten correctly. One of my highly educated sons once said I was making things too hard. He added that all over the world, people eat Holy Communion on Sunday morning. So I told him that was why they were dying and frequently sick. I further asked him to show me one scripture which says that this meal was eaten during the day- either with Jesus Christ or His disciples. Just as those who use charms have their taboos, so also does the Holy Communion. If you are embittered against your neighbor and you eat this meal, it will trigger a slow but progressive death. If you are living in lust or immorality, don't take this meal: or else it will slap rather than bless you. An old man was about to kick the bucket when he sent for his pastor to administer his last communion. More than ten years later, papa is still bouncing. Strength, life, vitality, wealth, protection, freedom, promotion, etc., could be yours if you eat this meal according to specification. Do you measure up to its requirements?

HEAVEN AND EARTH CONNECTION
MEMORIZE: "Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty" (2 Corinthians 3:17)

“And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee" (Exodus 15:26).
Heaven seekers resist sicknesses with every breath because they know that there is nothing like sickness in the length and breadth of Heaven. In God's store house, there are human spare parts. Eyes of different sizes and colors are packed together. Brand new limbs of all sizes are packed together. Mint livers are packed together. Brand new lungs are packed together. Every human spare part is packed in a group.
They are there in God's store house but nobody in Heaven needs them. They are meant for us on earth. With faith, you can have a change of any part of your body that is defective. Everyone in the heavenly Kingdom is whole. If the believer was blind before his death, that blindness terminates on earth. As the fellow enters Heaven, the sight is fully restored. And blindness - a curse of the law is forever gone in that person's life. If you are a Heaven seeker, you will not tolerate what heavenly dwellers don't. You can't afford to tolerate sickness, disease, or any form of illness because the Lord Jesus Christ is your healer.
Is any part of your body defective? Has the doctors said there is nothing else they can do? There is something God can do. He can simply replace that problematic body part with a brand new spare part from His store house. In the name of Jesus I decree an exchange of your defective body part with brand new spares now. Similarly, Heaven seekers live free of satanic yokes or oppression. In Heaven, everyone is completely free. There is no bondage because the atmosphere in Heaven is charged by the fragrance of the Spirit of God. There is a peculiar fragrance in Heaven. 2 Corinthians 3:17 says, "Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty". There is total freedom in Heaven.
If you are a Heaven seeker, you will be free. The extent to which the Holy Spirit operates in your life will determine your degree of freedom. If you allow Him one room in your building, He will be free only in that place. Any believer saddled with satanic yokes is empty of the Spirit. How free are you? Is your life radiating God's heavenly will?

BIBLE IN A YEAR: Mark 4-6
MOVE THAT ENEMY
MEMORIZE: "For verily I say unto you,That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith" (Mark 11:23)
READ: Isaiah 54:16-17
“Now Naaman, captain of the host of the king of Syria, was a great man with his master, and honorable, because by him the LORD had given deliverance unto Syria: he was also a mighty man in valour, but he was a leper" (2 Kings 5:1). When there is something in a man's mouth that cannot allow him to speak freely in the midst of reproach that is serious bondage! In Judges 15:11-13, Samson's relatives and countrymen bound and delivered him to the enemies. It was those within that sold him out to the enemies without. Some people are where they are today because internal enemies handed them over to the external enemies. For a user of this Devotional, the Lord has good news for you. Every internal enemy that has sold you out to external enemies are in for a surprise this season. The Lord will undo that bondage. When the Almighty God decides to deliver somebody, He will first burn all the yokes of the enemy. When the Spirit of God came on Samson after being delivered to the enemies, the ropes with which he was bound disappeared as if burnt by fire (Judges 15:14). Isaiah 10:27 says the anointing destroys yokes of any kind. Every yoke on your shoulders shall be destroyed today in Jesus name. The ropes, chains and fetters with which the enemies have chained your hands, legs or destiny shall be consumed by the Consuming Fire. The next thing God does when about to deliver His own is to pump power into you (Acts 1:8). Thirdly, He makes the weapons of the enemy ineffective while providing a powerful weapon for the one being delivered according to today's reading.
Unfortunately, some believers are too gentle with those who want to destroy them. One of my sons lived in an upper flat while a notorious witch lived in the flat beneath him. When he came to complain to me about her, I asked him to move her from that building citing Mark 11:23. He disagreed. We did not see over a period but when we eventually met, he looked like one mosquito had feasted on. He said the woman reported him to the police that she suspects him to be an armed robber because people were always talking inside his apartment every night. He was arrested and thrown into jail before he was discovered innocent. After narrating his ordeal, I told him he should be as gentle as a dove so that she will continue to live and have another opportunity to strike at him. But this time, he said 'No'. He wanted the woman moved. The enemies you do not stop will stop you. Anything in your neighborhood that is nuisance can be moved. But as long as you can tolerate them, they will continue to torment you. Arise and pray. Continue to attack that mountain in prayer. Continue to bombard Heaven about it. Soon you will discover it has moved.
ACTIONPOINT
What are the unpleasant things in your life, family neighborhood and church that ought to be moved? Command them to move in the name of Jesus. Continue this prayer until they move.

UNVEILING YOUR PRINCE-HOOD

There are two extremes a man can be. You can be an "honorable Jabez" or a "sorrowful Jabez". In between the two are several possible steps. In Genesis 25:24-26, a set of twins was born-Esau and Jacob. While Esau means red and hairy, Jacob means sup-planter, deceiver, and fraudster. Right from the womb Jacob schemed to overtake his elder brother Esau. The day of birth revealed his unhealthy struggle. Psalm 51:5 says, "Behold, I was sharpen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me". The laws of sin and death had started to operate in everyone right from the womb. Everyone was conceived and born in sin. The average person, like Jabez was born into sorrow. Everyone begins life as a sorrowful Jabez. But we don't have to die that way!
What does the name Jacob represent? It represents everything that is associated with crime, cheating, deceiving, and lies. Anyone including so called believers who still engage in any form of deception is operating at Jacob's level. Jacob also signifies a raw state, naivety, and latent-ness. This means anyone who is yet to develop himself and tap the talents and abilities inside of him is operating at Jacob's level. It also represents one who struggles to make progress solely by self effort, worldly wisdom, and any fraudulent means. If you remain in the mould of Jacob, you will not secure the promises. You cannot enter your promised land as a Jacob. God's judgment awaits the Jacobs!
After years of perpetual sorrow, pain, lack, frustration, poverty and disappointment, Jabez rebelled against the cocoon society and family had prepared for him. He led a one man protest march to the Throne of Grace and everything changed. That trip brought out the Prince in him. Suddenly, the most neglected became the most sought after. Are you still living in the mould people have designed for you? Break off today! Lead a protest march like Jabez and Jacob until your prince hood comes out. Jacob would have disappointed himself and unborn generations if he had not succeeded in bringing out the Israel in him. There is an Israel in you. There is a prince within you that is fighting to get out. Until you let him out, you cannot be your best. Until then, you will not be a man who can influence God and man. If you die with your Israel buried in you, you would have failed woefully. Your Israel must come out. You must be all God planned for you to be. For your change to come from Jacob to Israel mould, you have to give your life to Christ and wrestle in prayer daily asking for this change until it comes.

BIBLE IN A YEAR: Job 35-37
A FALSE WORSHIPPER?
MEMORIZE: "For God is the King of all the earth: sing ye praises with understanding" (Psalm 47:7)
READ: John 4:23-24
“But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him" (John 4:23).
In the phrase "The hour cometh and now is", the Lord is jointly talking about the present and future, since the past, present and future coexist in Him. That is why He is rightly called the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the Ending, the One who was, who is and is to come. From time past, God had sought for worshippers but has been disappointed with the quality of worship offered by His children. God is tired of poor worship offering. He has since launched a man haunt for true worshippers. Will He find you worthy? There are two categories of worshippers of God - true and false worshippers. Where does your worship offering fall?
Why is worship rejected? What constitutes false worship? According to John 4:21-24, restricting worship to a particular place or location makes your worship unacceptable. In the past, the Samaritans believed they have to go to a particular mountain or to Jerusalem before they can worship God. Today, some people still believe that worship should be done only in church or during worship programs. Such limited worship is rejected by God. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 says you are God's temple and as such worship should freely flow both from your body and your spirit to God your Owner.
Another reason worship is rejected by God is when it lacks understanding of who is being worshiped. Jesus told the Samaritan woman they were worshipping what they did not know. This shows that the Word of God as well as divine revelation of who God is, is non negotiable in true worship. The more you know God, the better the quality of worship. The more you experience God in situations, the more your prose and poetry will flow in worship to Him. An example here is the worship and praise Psalm Moses and the children of Israel composed after their victory over the Egyptians (Exodus 15:1-21). This is also why Psalm 47:7 commands you to sing with understanding. When you worship God without the backing of His
Word, it is like offering God vapors instead of water. It appears briefly but before you take it in, it evaporates. Whenever you use God's Word while worshipping God, it becomes a powerful, acceptable worship. God is ever bound to honor His Word. How much of His Word is inside of you? Stop being a false worshipper! Take steps to worship Him correctly from today.

Like Moses and the Israelites did in Exodus 15:1-21, compose five songs out of personal experiences of God's intervention in your life and family.As you worship God with these, such worship will be with understanding.

“But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him" (John 4:23).
In the phrase "The hour cometh and now is", the Lord is jointly talking about the present and future, since the past, present and future coexist in Him. That is why He is rightly called the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the Ending, the One who was, who is and is to come. From time past, God had sought for worshippers but has been disappointed with the quality of worship offered by His children. God is tired of poor worship offering. He has since launched a man haunt for true worshippers. Will He find you worthy? There are two categories of worshippers of God - true and false worshippers. Where does your worship offering fall?
Why is worship rejected? What constitutes false worship? According to John 4:21-24, restricting worship to a particular place or location makes your worship unacceptable. In the past, the Samaritans believed they have to go to a particular mountain or to Jerusalem before they can worship God. Today, some people still believe that worship should be done only in church or during worship programs. Such limited worship is rejected by God. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 says you are God's temple and as such worship should freely flow both from your body and your spirit to God your Owner.
Another reason worship is rejected by God is when it lacks understanding of who is being worshiped. Jesus told the Samaritan woman they were worshipping what they did not know. This shows that the Word of God as well as divine revelation of who God is, is non negotiable in true worship. The more you know God, the better the quality of worship. The more you experience God in situations, the more your prose and poetry will flow in worship to Him. An example here is the worship and praise Psalm Moses and the children of Israel composed after their victory over the Egyptians (Exodus 15:1-21). This is also why Psalm 47:7 commands you to sing with understanding. When you worship God without the backing of His
Word, it is like offering God vapors instead of water. It appears briefly but before you take it in, it evaporates. Whenever you use God's Word while worshipping God, it becomes a powerful, acceptable worship. God is ever bound to honor His Word. How much of His Word is inside of you? Stop being a false worshipper! Take steps to worship Him correctly from today.

SALVATION THROUGH A TESTIMONY
MEMORIZE: "I will speak of thy testimonies also before kings, and will not be ashamed" (Psalm 119:46)

One veritable tool capable of several uses, but which is commonly misunderstood or underused today, is the power of a testimony. Some people are afraid to share their testimony for fear of it being contested. In a particular church, it was rumored that anyone who testified there would have cause to regret. Up till now, there are certain myths people hold about testimony which are unscriptural. Satan is behind such lies and anyone who is afraid to share his or her testimony is a captive of the kingdom of darkness. The rule is never to share a fledgling testimony. That is, do not testify of what is being cooked: wait until it is done (finished) before you share it with others. Sharing your half-baked testimony might attract agents of darkness who hear it, to attempt to truncate it. But when the testimony is completed; that is, the baby is born, you have received the job, contract, or breakthrough; it becomes a crime not to testify of it.
For several reasons, it is important you share your complete testimonies. First, your testimony is a powerful evangelical tool capable of leading souls to the Kingdom. The less you share it, the less of a soul winner you become. In today's reading, after the Gadarene demoniac was delivered, he begged to follow Jesus back home, but verse 19 says: "Howbeit Jesus suffered him not, but saith unto him, Go home to thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee, and hath had compassion on thee".
Some Young Christian's converts may be shy in preaching God's Word for fear of not knowing enough. A testimony becomes handy. It is easier for you to tell friends of a healing, breakthrough, deliverance or salvation from sin, you received from the Lord. They can easily identify with a testimony than with a sermon. Refusing to share your testimony can stand in their way to salvation.
Your life shall be a testimony. People must see that you are different from how you were before getting saved. Many people still find it difficult to believe that they can break their sinful habit of fornication, lying, smoking, drunkenness, gambling, stealing, etc. But when you tell them how you were delivered from similar sins, and how God has sustained you ever since, they will be encouraged to give Jesus a try. You have several testimonies that can be used to win souls for Christ. Use them from today.

BONDAGE BREAKER
MEMORIZE: "And the Egyptians were urgent upon the people, that they might send them out of the land in haste; for they said,We be all dead men" (Exodus 12:33)

The incomparable meal is like a divine trap. There is this belief among the Yoruba that if you eat certain things, anyone who attempts knocking his head against yours, will discover that he is hitting a stone. The problem with this satanic unholy communion is that it keeps good and evil away without discrimination; hence those who use it never prosper. When you partake of the Holy Communion, it attracts blessings to you. How frequent have you been to the Lord's Table? With what attitude do you approach the table?

Most times, when given your preferred delicacy in the dream, it is targeted at making you lose something; your health, a contract, an important appointment, an interview, conception or breakthrough. If such feeding in the dream becomes the norm, it is a pointer to your urgent need for deliverance. Every satanic food served you in your dream this season shall miss their target, and work for your good in Jesus' Name.
Another benefit of the Holy Communion is stated in the scripture above. If eaten, the Holy Communion can compel your captors to release you from captivity. The night the Israelites ate this meal, an end came to a slavery of 430 years! What about three million Jews could not do, a meal did. Do you know that some believers are still under one form of bondage or the other? This is why they work like elephants but receive an ants harvest. They struggle through life. To achieve what their colleagues have achieved, they may be required to make inputs worth 10 times of what was required. Are you in that situation? The Lord is bringing you good tidings. A change is coming your way. That situation of slavery is about to be reversed. Your captivity is about to be turned around. Your freedom is guaranteed. It is going to be well with you. Take a step of faith. If you are not saved, receive Jesus today and walk in obedience with Him. Go through the young converts' class and submit yourself for water baptism. Thereafter, approach the Lord's Table in faith. Take this communion and your life shall never be the same again.

WHAT LIFE-STYLE?
MEMORIZE: "For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ" (Philippians 3:20)
READ: Philippians 3:17-21
“Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live" (John 11:25). There are certain characteristics exhibited by Heaven seekers. First, Heaven seekers pursue an uncommon life-style. What causes others to sorrow and weep makes them to jump for joy and celebrate. The path of Heaven seekers is in sharp contrast to the regular path. For instance Matthew 5:10-12 says you should celebrate when persecuted or falsely accused. If your response to persecution is below this heavenly standard, you are not a Heaven seeker. Are you running from persecution in your office or school? You will erode the immeasurable reward due you.
A Heaven seeker seeks Jesus. If you seek Jesus, death will become a stranger to you. Every spirit of death sent your way this season will have the Resurrection and the Life to contend with. You shall not die. None of your loved ones will die. Your source of livelihood will not cease. Any good thing that is dead or dying in your life shall come round, because the Resurrection and the Life is visiting you this season. Heaven seekers live on earth the way they would in Heaven. Righteousness is the way of life in Heaven. One reason God expects you to live, talk, think, give and do everything right is to enable you get acquainted with righteousness. In Heaven, that is the life-style. The only difference is that there is no devil in Heaven to tempt you to sin. Those who refuse to live the heavenly life on earth, but prefer to do so in Heaven, may never enter Heaven. Your ability to live like heavenly citizens distinguishes you from the sinning crowd, to be selected to live eternally in that blessed land. How are you living today?

Imagine a man like Moses: He missed the Promised Land, although he made it to Heaven yet, Satan contested for his body. There was war between the satanic kingdom and the angels of God over who should keep the body of Moses (Jude 9). Your life-style will determine which kingdom has ownership over you.

BIBLE IN A YEAR: Mal. 1-2
UNSTOPPING YOUR MOUTH
MEMORIZE: "And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me" (Ps. 50:15)
READ: Psalm 50:14-15
The Gaderene demoniac of Mark 5:1-20 was possessed by thousands of demons. They wanted to destroy him. He was destined to be an evangelist: boy, were his legs tied! The Lord set him free and he fulfilled his ultimate divine destiny. Every force of darkness tying your legs and hindering you from your destiny shall be permanently separated from you today. While lecturing at University of Lagos, one of my daughters came to tell me God has led a man her way. As I congratulated her, she said she had a problem. When I asked to know the problem, she said her father told her that after she was born, she was dedicated to a marine spirit husband; if she ventures marriage, her physical husband would die on the day of the wedding. She said she wanted to marry, but does not want to be responsible for the death of her suitor.
I dismissed her fears saying that the name of Jesus was above every other name. We prayed a prayer of deliverance and she left. Two years later, I was in a programme in a church at Yaba, Lagos when I saw her breast feeding a baby. She asked if I still recalled who she was, and I affirmed. Then she pointed her husband to me. Every force of darkness sent to hinder you from reaching your goal shall be destroyed in Jesus name. In any way you have been covenanted to a local deity or demonic power, you shall be free this season. Every spirit husband, wife or child trying to hinder you from your God ordained marriage shall be roasted by fire in Jesus' Name.
The worst type of bondage anyone can suffer is to have the mouth blocked. If you tie the hands or legs of an individual, he can still access freedom. If the rope is not too strong, he could engage the mouth to set himself free. Or at least he could call out for help. God promises to send help when you call on Him, but if the mouth is tied, there will be no help in sight. Some people's gentleness becomes their undoing.
There is a time to be quiet but there is a time to shout for help. Anyone who keeps quiet when he should cry out cannot obtain freedom. If your gentleness is stopping you from aggressive prayers, then it is working against you Drop it! When Peter was sinking, he cried for help. According to Matthew 12:22, speaking is more important than seeing. Whatever is blocking your mouth the Almighty God will remove it in Jesus name. Every rope tying your mouth will be roasted by fire. Cry unto God today and He shall arise on your behalf.

If whenever you pray you find it difficult to pray out, except in your heart, you are under a siege. Your mouth is tied. Rebel against this by praying aloud from today!

SEND THAT INVITATION
MEMORIZE: "And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday" (Psalm 37:6)
READ: Joshua 7:1-6
Another lesson from the marriage feast in Cana of Galilee recorded in John 2:1 -11 is that an invitation was sent to the Lord. Most people remember to send invitation for a special event to everyone but the Lord. If you have invited everyone else without inviting Jesus to the occasion, your preparation is incomplete. That is preparing for failure and disappointment. Psalm 127:1 says, "Except the LORD builds the house, they labor in vain that build it: Except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain". In other words, any preparation done without involving Jesus is bound to fail. Are you building a career, house, family, business, without involving Jesus? Send Him an invitation today!
"Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass" (Psalm 37:5). It is wisdom to involve Jesus in your plans because He will assume responsibility for its success. The reason many believers fail especially in small assignments and projects is because they consider certain matters too little to involve the Master. But if we were to learn from history, the battles that the Israelites lost were usually against fewer, weaker and negligible enemies. The battles against walled cities like Jericho was piece of cake because the Israelites sent the Lord an invitation card: But when they were to confront small Ai, they felt they did not need God. It was going to be a landslide victory. But it turned out to be a landslide defeat!
"Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you" (1 Peter 5:7). Jesus cares about all the things that trouble you. He says you should transfer your worries and anxieties to Him. Let Him do the worrying. Worrying cannot take strand off the problem. Rather, it will compound it. Inviting Jesus into your project or a particular situation compels Him into action in that area. Jesus is the reproach eliminator. The moment He steps into a reproach scene, He turns it into glory. As you invite the Lord today, He will turn your reproach into honor. Isaiah 53:4 says He is our burden bearer. Have you seen some local market women who entered a vehicle, yet continue carrying their load? That is how many believers go into God's
presence but fail to drop the load they are carrying.

BIBLE IN A YEAR: Zeph 1-3
BE RENEWED AT HEART
MEMORIZE: "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable and perfect will of God" (Romans 12:2)
READ: Romans 12:1-2
“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable and perfect will of God." (Romans 12:2). There is need for change of mindset in anticipation of greater blessings and move of God in your life. Something great is coming your way. God is lifting you up from the dunghill to the throne. God is changing your circle of friends. The Lord is about to do something that will both change your destiny as well as cause those around you to marvel. Unfortunately, many are not prepared for the change. When you are not prepared for a big blessing and it comes, it can have a negative impact on you. If you have been trusting God for the fruit of the womb but refused to prepare, when God visits you with triplets, that blessing will become another problem. The Lord gave Peter an unprecedented business breakthrough in Luke 5:1-11 which he was not prepared for. As a result, instead of saying 'Thank you', he said, 'Leave me alone'.
One area you should prepare early enough is your mindset. If you have been called and known as barren all these years, change your mindset: adjust to the mindset of a joyful father or mother of children. See yourself being called 'Daddy so and so'. When you are not prepared, a blessing can become a great embarrassment. Some poor people still retain the mentality of a 'have not' long after God prospered them.
A minister once shared this joke. He was poor and was used to jumping from one okada (local bike transport) to another, or from one commercial bus to another. One day, he was given an official bus in his office. He drove it to a far location, parked and went about his official business. At the end of the day, he heard bus conductors chanting his route so he jumped in. He arrived home that night before he remembered that he forgot his new official vehicle. He could not tell his wife the truth when she asked. He said he took it to the mechanic. But she replied, 'What is a new bus doing at the mechanic workshop?' 'Oh, just to fix something', he lied again. That night, he could not sleep. He had to say all kinds of prayer that nothing happens to the vehicle. Or else, how would he explain it to his boss at the office? Never be used to any negative condition - poverty, barrenness, failure, sickness, retrogression or disappointment. Have a mindset change from negative to positive. Prepare your heart for the next level of up-liftment by using the Word of God to reform old beliefs, notions and stereotypes. Your expected uplift may not come
until your mindset changes.

BIBLE IN A YEAR: Hab 1-5
SIN AGAINST YOUR BODY
MEMORIZE: "For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's" (1 Corinthians 6:20)
READ: 1 Corinthians 6:13-18
“Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication, sinneth against his own body" (1 Cor. 6:18). All sins are against God, while some are against God and fellow men. A few sins are not only against both, but also against one's body. Using mind-bending substances such as cocaine, heroine, alcohol, Indian hemp, cigarettes and cigars are some ways one sins against one's body. But of all of these, fornication is a worst sin against the body. But you may say, 'my body belongs to me: I am free to do what ever I like with it'. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 disagrees. It says your body is God's temple. It is only a loan from God for your earthly existence. It says God owns it because He created it, and eventually paid a costly price to redeem it. Verse 15 of our reading says all the parts of your body - your hands, eyes, nose, mouth, organs, legs, tongue, etc are now parts of Christ, if you have given your life to the Lord Jesus Christ.
"If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are" (1 Corinthians 3:17). Whenever you use any of the above substances or defile your body through sexual sins, it is like turning God's holy temple into a refuse dump. God does not take kindly to it. The repercussion for this is destruction. A day is coming that you will account for all you have done with your body. Keep yourself pure.
"Meat is for the belly, and the belly is for meat; But God shall destroy both it and them. Now the body is not for fornication, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body" (1 Cor. 6:13). God never created the body for fornication. If you fornicate as a single or as a married person with someone who is not your spouse, you are abusing your body. You are using the body contrary to the instructions of the Manufacturer, and therefore calling for trouble. Have you been engaged or in courtship, on a journey into marriage? Praise God! Until that marriage is consummated, never allow your body to be inflamed by lust! Avoid petting, necking, stroking, kissing, or lusting after your spouse to be. Don't destroy your testimony. Avoid sex or romance before marriage because apart from defiling your body, it lays the foundation of your new home on lust- the flesh, instead of Christ. If you want Jesus to be the foundation of that home, keep away from fornication. If you engage in sex before marriage, nobody may know about it, but when the repercussion comes after marriage, it will be evident to all.
ACTIONPOINT:
Anyone who lures you into sexual immorality has no value for you. To that individual, you are just another piece of furniture that can be bought. Are you?

BIBLE IN A YEAR: Nah 1-3
ALL FOR GOOD
MEMORIZE: "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose" (Romans 8:28)
READ: Exodus, Romans 8:27-30
A purpose of events taking place in your life is not as crucial as your location with God. In other words, your standing before God gives meaning to situations and circumstances around you, as well as redefines them. A negative event that happens to a believer who is wrongly placed before God can be seen as negative. But if that same believer is rightly placed before God, that event eventually turns into a positive one. Today's reading spells out the qualities we must possess if all events - negative and positive must achieve only positive outcomes in our lives. The first is your love for God. If you have genuine and extreme love for God, that love can neutralize the negative qualities in events, and bring up the positives.
Similarly, you must be called by God to fulfill a heavenly mandate. Today, many Christians have called themselves into ministry. Others have been called by God, but are out to fulfill their personal mandates. This is why negative situations fail to deliver their positive contents. Are you out to satisfy personal desires or God's? God cannot be fooled. Even when you make people believe you are there for God, your motives, utterances, expectations and strategies give you away. God wants everything that happens this year to deliver good to you.
Recently, in Lagos, there was a tragic accident. The brakes of a heavy goods vehicle failed as it descended a hill. It lost control, rammed into a series of shops by the roadside and made a clean sweep of them, those inside the shops and those at the bus stop. At least 40 people were reported dead in that instant. Some were wounded and taken to the hospital but never recovered. One of the survivors was an owner of one of the shops selling handset accessories. He had earlier sold an accessory to a customer who later returned with a policeman to arrest him for selling a defective accessory. They left his shop and crossed over to the other side of the road, waiting to board a vehicle to the police station, when almost immediately the straying vehicle swept a row of shops, including the man's. They froze as they watched this real life movie. His arrest was bad alright, but it became his saving grace. This year, the Lord will use everything that happens to work for your good. Love God and fulfill the purpose for which you were called. That affliction, trial, denial, delay is working for your good. You are coming out strong from that fire.

As you fulfill your part, ask God to cause all events - good or bad to work in your favor this year.

THE WEALTH TRANSFERRING MEAL
MEMORIZE: "And the LORD gave the people favors in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they lent unto them such things as they required. And they spoiled the Egyptians" (Exodus 12:36)

“And the LORD gave the people favors in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they lent unto them such things as they required. And they spoiled the Egyptians" (Exodus 12:36). Another benefit of the Holy Communion is that it can compel your debtors to release what they owe you. For over 400 years, the children of Israel were in Egypt as slaves. They built Pharaoh's treasure cities; Pithom and Raamses for free. Their pay was lashes from horsewhips, oppression and heavier bondages. They labored for that length of time without even asking for wages. As slaves they could not fight for their rights. There was no hope that they could ever recover their entitlements from the Egyptians. Then one night, they took this incomparable meal. After the meal, things began to happen dramatically.
Every Egyptian became uncomfortable. That night, their eyes opened to their injustice of over 400 years, and the need to restitute. So as the Israelites approached their Egyptian neighbors, slaves, masters and oppressors to ask for anything, the Egyptians were in a hurry to oblige, even beyond their request. Even when the Israelites had no human rights activist to fight for them, one meal achieved far more than any human rights group could within a night! The Egyptians emptied all their bank accounts and treasuries. They turned over their wealth to the Israelites. There was a wealth transfer from the Egyptians to the Israelites all because of a meal!
As you attend the next Holy Communion and take it according to Heaven's expectations, all your wasted years - when you labored without pay, shall be paid for. Everyone who has owed you for long, will suddenly become uncomfortable, and restore all they owe. PERSONALITY OF HEAVEN
MEMORIZE: "And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth" (John 1:14)
READ: John 1:1-14
Heaven is not only a place in a particular location, but also a person. What makes a palace a palace is not the building, but the king who resides there. A palace without a king is an ordinary house. There is a particular town where when the king dies, they do not replace him. Today, it has become a ghost town. There is nothing special about a throne until a king sits on it. Heaven is what it is because of the One who dwells there. According to Psalm 24:7-10, Heaven was created by the King of glory: The LORD of hosts who has never lost any battle. He is the One who sits on the throne. One of my sons once said, if he gets to Heaven and hears that Jesus has relocated, he will relocate to where Jesus is.

Who made Heaven what it is? It is the Word that was made flesh. Colossians 2:9 says the fullness of the Godhead physically resides in Jesus. When Jesus came to earth, Heaven came to earth; hence the angels celebrated His birth. Anyone who seeks Heaven must seek Jesus. In John 3:1-8, Nicodemus sought Heaven and he went to see Jesus. Similarly, while Zaccheaus a strong, wealthy man sought Heaven, something told him; "if you want to see Heaven, see Jesus." So he climbed a tree to see Jesus. Heaven is full of goodness. Psalm 34:10 says, "The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the LORD shall not want any good thing".
One reason believers are in want today is because they are not seeking Jesus. Some want Heaven, but their faces are turned to earth. The earth cannot produce heavenly results on its own. It takes Heaven to come to earth for earth to receive heavenly results. If your desires and requests are not granted, examine your focus: you are seeking the wrong thing. You are pursuing earthly things. You can completely eradicate lack in your life, family and ministry by seeking Heaven and Jesus. Heaven came to earth and heavenly joys began to displace earthly sorrows. Anywhere Jesus went, multitudes thronged about Him because they knew they would experience positive outcomes. You are now the light of the world. Your presence as a heavenly light should displace earthly darkness and sorrow. How is your presence effectively achieving this? If your chosen spiritual cover cannot effectively protect your family, loved ones and parishioners, your claim to being a child of God is questionable.
ACTIONPOINT
An encounter with Jesus is an encounter with Heaven. Ask that Muslims all over the world will encounter the Person of Heaven this year.

BIBLE IN A YEAR: Hosea 11-14
RESTITUTION: A MEANS OF FREEDOM
MEMORIZE: "And herein do I exercise myself, to have always a conscience void of offense toward God, and toward men" (Acts 24:16)
READ: Job 20:15-21
There are several ways one's legs could be tied. It could be through an incurable disease, curse, and invisible forces or through a pending restitution. When I was a lecturer, one of my students had a peculiar problem. Whenever he ate rice, he got into trouble. During his Youths Service, he was posted to the North. The staple food there was rice. When he could not withstand the hunger, he ate it. Trouble followed. As he was being conveyed to the hospital, he requested that he should be brought to me for prayers. As I was about to pray, the Lord revealed that a pending restitution was responsible. After interviewing him, I discovered that when he was in secondary school, he went home for school fees. His father had none so he stole the bicycle of a neighbor, sold it and gave him the money.
When the owner woke up the following morning, he pronounced a curse saying 'The thief and his children will be in trouble except they don't eat rice'. He did it: and when I was about to pray for him, the Lord interrupted, saying prayer was needless because the boy's problem was over. Whatever is responsible for tying your legs, the Lord will expose it and give you grace to make the necessary restitution in Jesus' Name.
There are some occasions you do not need to pray. Heaven expects you to make right your crooked past and help will come your way. If you engage in praying and fasting at such times, it will avail nothing. Pending restitution is responsible for the stagnancy of some believers. As long as you refuse to restore what you have stolen, Heaven may withhold help from you. Some leaders have stolen the benefits of their subordinates. Even senior pastors sit on the salaries and stipends of pastors under them. You are tying your legs! If you are trying to steal somebody else's husband, you are tying your legs. Restore him and severe such extra-marital relationship so that your legs can be free. God wants you to be free. He has paid the price for your freedom. But you have to show you truly want to be free. Are you holding a grudge against anyone? Release the fellow today!

RESTITUTION: A MEANS OF FREEDOM

There are several ways one's legs could be tied. It could be through an incurable disease, curse, and invisible forces or through a pending restitution. When I was a lecturer, one of my students had a peculiar problem. Whenever he ate rice, he got into trouble. During his Youths Service, he was posted to the North. The staple food there was rice. When he could not withstand the hunger, he ate it. Trouble followed. As he was being conveyed to the hospital, he requested that he should be brought to me for prayers. As I was about to pray, the Lord revealed that a pending restitution was responsible. After interviewing him, I discovered that when he was in secondary school, he went home for school fees. His father had none so he stole the bicycle of a neighbor, sold it and gave him the money.
When the owner woke up the following morning, he pronounced a curse saying 'The thief and his children will be in trouble except they don't eat rice'. AHEAD OF CHALLENGES

One lesson learnt from the marriage at Cana in Galilee is that God loves celebrations, and He wants all His children to celebrate. Our God is a God of joy, not sorrow. Some people asked why we shout so much in RCCG, and I told them because our God is a God of joy. Although once in a while, believers may meet with circumstances that compel them to be sad, Philippians 4:4 commands them to rejoice in the Lord in spite of prevailing negative circumstances.
Another lesson is that just as Jesus and His mother were there before the problem arose, God has equally provided a solution ever before your problem started. Before the Israelites arrived at Marah, the tree that would turn their bitter water into wine was already growing. Similarly, before Israel thirsted, the rock that should supply water was already there (Exodus 17:1-6). In Judges 15:14-16 when Samson was bound and taken to the camp of his enemies, what he would use in destroying them was already there. Before the widow cried to God for help, the bottle of oil and empty containers through which God would perform the miracle were already there. God is always steps ahead of your challenge or problem. In your present difficulty, God has already provided the solution before hand. It is my prayer that the Lord will open your eyes to locate it now.

When I visited home, a man saw me and suggested that I build a house in my village so that when the need arises, I will have a place to accommodate my friends. He promised to supply the blocks for which I would pay when I am able. It sounded a good idea to me so I got the blocks and started building. While roofing the house, the man sent someone to ask me for the money. Meanwhile, I had nothing left so I looked up to the Lord and told Him I had never gone beyond my ability before and that He should help out. I told the messenger to give me some time. I slept in my office that night. On waking up, a man came asking for the leader of the church. Later he told me he came from the North and that the Lord described the location of the camp to him, and asked him to give me an envelope. After praying for him and releasing him, I opened it and found exactly the N3, 000.00 that I needed. The Lord will make a way for you this season.

TRANSFER FEVER
MEMORIZE: "Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:" (2 Peter 1:10)

In a recent transfer of pastors, an ordained full pastor was transferred to a church of a little over 50 people. When the transfer was announced, the Holy Spirit said 'Congratulations. Your promotion has come'. Meanwhile some of his friends felt bad at that transfer. Some saw it as demotion but he accepted it in good faith, believing that God had a purpose for that assignment in that smaller church. On resumption, he discovered that the church was almost dead. Many members and workers had left because of the attitude of the pastor's wife. The community dwellers had stigmatized the church as a place not to worship. Even local okada operators (commercial cyclists) had had unpleasant encounters with the leadership of the church that made them to avoid it. The church of several years was crawling and heading for death.
Within a few months of conscientious work, the Lord turned around the church. The negative reputation in the neighborhood changed. People began to hear good news about the church. Those who had left were followed up, and some of them returned joyfully and served the Lord. God miraculously used the members and workers to provide the basic instruments as well as other pressing needs of the church. A church that was reputed for in-fighting became a family church where members cared for one another. The new pastor testified that in all his years of ministry, he had never had it so good. While thinking of how to do a particular thing, members who shared the same burden met him and immediately released the money. The church grew and has not been the same ever since. Five months later, the pastor was promoted.
When you are transferred to a particular place, even if you have reasons to believe it is intended to punish you, receive it with joy. It will work for you! God may want to move you from one department or parish to another for some reasons. It could be because of the level of trust He has in you. If you are always sent to troubled spots to virtually start all over, it could be that you are a builder. You may be moved because God has placed certain divine deposits in you that people need where you are being sent. Your transfer may be to salvage a dying church. That unattractive place could be where God wants to manifest His glory in your life. God might want to give you a fresh challenge. He may want you to learn fresh lessons in ministry and human relations. He may be taking you to a place the congregation will appreciate His gifts and calling on your life. It may be a promotion. Transfer is not strange; it has being a part of church history. Receive it with joy.

KNOWLEDGE BY REVELATION
MEMORIZE: "It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honor of kings is to search out a matter" (Proverbs 25:2)
Luke 18:1-8
You can know someone through association. An example of this is marital association. In today's reading, the widow approached the judge to take vengeance on her enemies, but for a long while he did nothing about it. Assuming the widow had become married to the judge, what do you think would happen? Her problem would be finally laid to rest. She would no longer be a tail without a head, or a woman without a cover. She would be able to dwell in the secret place of the Most High God. This is exactly the scenario when you give your life to Jesus. John 5:22 says: "For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son". It is amazing that the final Judge before whom every life will be reviewed at the Great White Throne Judgment is our husband. Praise God!
One great day is coming when the sheep of Psalm 23:1 will be formally wedded to the Shepherd. There will be a great shout and celebration to mark the arrival of that day in Heaven (Revelation 19:5-9). Heaven is sending your invitation saying, 'And the Spirit and the bride say, Come'. One way of knowing a mature Christian is by the eagerness with which the fellow looks forward to that day. Immediately the Bridegroom comes for us, all our problems will be forever solved.
Besides personal observation, information dissemination through the broadcast media and association, another way through which we can know Him is by revelation. Knowledge by Revelation is a most credible, dependable and beneficial source of information. Even in a marriage, the wife only accesses the information her husband passes to her. Similarly, in Luke 24:13-31, on the way to Emmaus after His resurrection, the Lord joined two of His disciples as they discussed the scriptures, but they did not recognize Him until the breaking of bread. This means that the Almighty God reserves the right to conceal a matter until He decides otherwise. Matthew 11:27 says until Jesus reveals the Father to an individual, the fellow may never access that information. Anything God conceals can never be uncovered. May He reveal Himself to you today! Proverbs 25:2 says, "It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honor of kings is to search out a matter".
This means every revelation you get from the Lord confirms your heavenly kingship. Do you receive divine revelations? Do you know Him?

POWER OF RESTITUTION
MEMORIZE: "Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honor, especially they who labor in the word and doctrine" (1Timothy 5:17)
READ: Luke 19:1-10
Zacchaeus was a chief tax collector. He was super rich from his daily collections. When the wealth he craved could not give him fulfillment, he stopped seeking it and started seeking Jesus. As long as you continue to seek wealth, you cannot find Jesus. But if you seek Jesus, you will have more than wealth in your kitty. The day Zacchaeus finally met Jesus; the Lord gave Him an appointment and came to his house. After he received Jesus, restitution followed. He first gave out 50 percent of his wealth, and thereafter offered to restore fourfold anything he took by hook or crook in accordance with the law (Exodus 22:1). And he got divine approval.
Restitution is an indispensable building block for progress, prosperity, health and Heaven. For several deliverance seekers, the deliverance they need is restitution. Until this is done, they may go round in circles. Some years ago, a church planted a parish. For unknown reasons but largely personal, three months into its birth, all support was withdrawn leaving the baby parish to pay a huge rent. Workers sent there were those the pastor of the mother church could not use. Every thing appeared designed to kill the church, but the pastor and his assistant rose up to the challenge. Years later, the parish gradually stabilized. Its pastor needed a few months off to attend to some official issues and informed his senior pastor. The latter asked him to steer clear for a year after which he would be reinstated.
Another minister was sent. A year later, the founding pastor returned but was dribbled until he was frustrated. He wept and left to another branch of the church. Later, another pastor was transferred to that parish. Then he received a revelation that the church was under a stalemate for violating its founding pastor. On enquiry, it was confirmed. So he consulted with members and organized a befitting send forth for the founding pastor who had left the church. Finally, he was asked to pray for them. Not long after, the church that refused to grow began to grow. It began to make progress in areas it had a stalemate. How do you treat your leaders especially your pastors? Some churches are under a curse for maltreating their pastors. Is your church cursed? Restitute. Are you holding what belongs to others? Restitute today. God knows all you do to His servants. When members of the congregation gang up against their pastor, they curse themselves. Some members' blessings are pegged for refusal to restitute to their pastors.

HOLY OR UNHOLY COMMUNION
MEMORIZE: "And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt" (Exodus 12:13)
READ: John 6:48-58
Usually, we eat to live, receive strength and be healthy. The Holy Communion is a meal that transcends the regular purpose of eating. It possesses super curative powers, hence it acts like medicine. But unlike regular medicines, it is capable of stopping death on its tracks. Exodus 12:13 says, "And the Blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt". Many of us have failed to realize that whenever the Holy Communion is taken according to God's prescription, it singles out the communicants and their households for special protection. It is an antidote to plagues. When there is an epidemic, the Holy Communion is the meal to take, as it will bring the fellow under God's special covering. If you are affected by any plague even after receiving this incomparable meal, something must be wrong somewhere; there might be sin not confessed, or a breach in the receipt or administration of the meal.
Another benefit of this meal is that it acts as a divine charm. It is common knowledge that having made unsuccessful attempts to be rich, some people consult native doctors or occult groups, and enter into covenant of extreme wealth for a few years, say seven years, in exchange for remaining years on earth. Then they will be given something - Satan's unholy communion to eat. A man ate this but it never worked: rather, it became like a god inside him. When the day of death approached and no wealth was in sight, he ran to us at the Ebute-Metta headquarters. He pretended to give his life to Christ and we prayed for him and he vomited what he ate. He attended the church for a while then he stopped. When we followed him up, he discouraged us from paying more visits claiming that why the charm he swallowed did not work was because it was swallowed wrongly. He visited the native doctor and swallowed another charm. When the thing was about to kill him, he decided to run to Britain thinking that could prevent its effect. He died on board the air bus to Britain!
Satan's unholy communion can never do anyone good. In the process of deliverance, many live creatures such as snakes, lizards, snails and even strange objects are vomited. If you have gone to the house of any native doctor, occultist, or spiritual church using holy water and candles, as well as making sacrifices, what you have swallowed will continue to work against you. Immediately go to a living church, give your life to Christ, renounce every covenant with the Satanists and submit yourself for deliverance.

Many of us have failed to realize that whenever the Holy Communion is taken according to God's prescription, it singles out the communicants and their households for special protection. It is an antidote to plagues. When there is an epidemic, the Holy Communion is the meal to take, as it will bring the fellow under God's special covering. If you are affected by any plague even after receiving this incomparable meal, something must be wrong somewhere; there might be sin not confessed, or a breach in the receipt or administration of the meal.
Another benefit of this meal is that it acts as a divine charm. It is common knowledge that having made unsuccessful attempts to be rich, some people consult native doctors or occult groups, and enter into covenant of extreme wealth for a few years, say seven years, in exchange for remaining years on earth. Then they will be given something - Satan's unholy communion to eat. A man ate this but it never worked: rather, it became like a god inside him. When the day of death approached and no wealth was in sight, he ran to us at the Ebute-Metta headquarters. He pretended to give his life to Christ and we prayed for him and he vomited what he ate. He attended the church for a while then he stopped. When we followed him up, he discouraged us from paying more visits claiming that why the charm he swallowed did not work was because it was swallowed wrongly. He visited the native doctor and swallowed another charm. When the thing was about to kill him, he decided to run to Britain thinking that could prevent its effect. He died on board the air bus to Britain!
Satan's unholy communion can never do anyone good. In the process of deliverance, many live creatures such as snakes, lizards, snails and even strange objects are vomited. If you have gone to the house of any native doctor, occultist, or spiritual church using holy water and candles, as well as making sacrifices, what you have swallowed will continue to work against you. Immediately go to a living church, give your life to Christ, renounce every covenant with the Satanists and submit yourself for deliverance.

MIND HEAVENLY THINGS

No matter how earthly governments refine, refurbish and design their cities and nations, there is an incomparable city. There is something better than what the earth can ever offer you. Heaven cannot be compared to the earth. A brother who returned from a visit to Heaven said that all the gold and precious stones we have on earth are a far cry to what is available in Heaven. The best was retained for the heavenly city, while the remnant was turned to the earth. There is something better than your dream house! Your heavenly home is beyond compare!
Compared with your eternal heavenly mansion, your earthly home is greatly limited. If you were given your dream house today, you will be bored within a year, and desire something better. That apart, no matter how much you love it, one day, all your earthly assets will be gutted by fire. It is foolishness to plow all your resources towards assets that will eventually be razed by fire. It is wisdom to set your affections on heavenly things which last forever. Where is your focus? To make it to this glorious land, you must be born again, and live daily in righteousness. You must also become a Heaven seeker. What you seek sharpens your focus, and eventually determines your receipts.
Heaven seekers are a peculiar people. They have taken time to invest heavily in the heavenly Kingdom, hence their hearts are where their treasure is (Matt. 6:21). Heaven seekers constantly talk of the return of the Lord. They look forward to the day they will dump their present body for a glorious one. They anticipate the day the law of gravity will receive a record-breaking violation, when faithful believers all over the world, will simultaneously fly heavenwards.
Do you long for these? Our reading today enjoins us to set our desires towards heavenly things. If your affections are on earth, you will receive earthly things. If your affections are centered on Heaven, you will receive heavenly things. If you are bereft of God's graces, gifts, anointing etc., it is evident that you do not desire Heaven. This year, heavenly blessings can be yours. Set your heart on things above. Desire the blessings from Heaven. Improve your relationship with the King of glory. Spend quality time in the presence of the Lord of Heaven and Heaven will radiate all around you.

Pray for all leaders in the Body of Christ to mind heavenly things. Pray for the Gospel to penetrate unreached nations.

UNTYING YOUR LEGS
MEMORIZE: "Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed and walk" (John 5:8)

Demonic forces can also tie the hands of a man. In Luke 8:1-3, Mary Magdalene who was a super witch, became a divine treasurer after her hands were untied. She had the potentials of being a sponsor of the Gospel, but she was bottled up. The demons changed her focus and manipulated her to live contrary to God's Word. Thank God Jesus intervened! As long as her hands were tied, she served the devil, but when her freedom came, she realized she was serving what should be serving her. So she started to serve the One who should be served. Every demonic power that has tied your hands shall be expelled from your life and situation today in Jesus name. You shall be free from every force, power, visible or invisible enemies hindering you from serving the true and living God in Jesus Name.
Apart from meaning that one's hands are tied, bondage could also mean that one's legs are tied. After Paul and Silas were thrown into prison, their legs were further imprisoned in stocks (Acts 16:22-24). That was double imprisonment! When someone says my legs are tied, it means his movement is restricted, his legs are in stocks, his progress has been arrested and destiny suspended. In any way unseen forces have tied your legs, you are free from this moment in the name of Jesus Christ. Some people have become familiar with stagnation. For years, they have not been promoted. No progress or upward movement. They have not enlarged beyond their tiny space. The Lord is bringing a change your way this season.
In today's reading, the legs of a man were tied for 38 years. The man was more familiar with stagnancy than most of us. For almost a generation, he remained on one spot! Within the community of the crippled, blind and withered, he was chief. He had been so long there that some of his relatives, who offered to help, finally gave up, leaving him in that condition. But Jesus stepped in and untied his legs, and he moved on. You are coming out free. That promotion that has been denied you is coming to you this season. It is coming by the decree of the King of kings. Your legs are receiving strength to move you forward from today. Every yoke of stagnancy in your life is broken. You shall be a stranger to stagnancy from today. If you are not born again, receive Jesus today. Take time to praise, thank and worship Him for your freedom.

BIBLE IN A YEAR: Joel 1-3
PLACE OF CELEBRATIONS
MEMORIZE: "Be glad in the LORD, and rejoice, ye righteous: and shout for joy, all ye that are upright in heart" (Psalm 32:11)
READ: John 2:1-11
During the early days of Jesus' ministry, there was a wedding in Cana of Galilee. There were other weddings before, and after this, but this ordinary wedding took a different turn because somebody was invited. For one reason or the other, Jesus and His mother were invited. During the wedding feast, the wine ran out. The celebrants were seriously embarrassed. People began to murmur. Some said the bridegroom and his bride did not cut their coat according to their size. Others faulted the yardstick for serving the wine to those who received theirs while it lasted. The couple hung their heads in shame and gloom. They wondered what went wrong with their plans that left them sorrowful on the day of their greatest joy. There seemed to be no way out. Fortunately, Jesus was there. Mary, His mother came to acquaint Him of the situation, but He asked her not to disturb Him. In spite of His answer, she walked up to the servants and asked them to wait on Him. Later, He rose in response to Mary's faith and ordered the servants to fill the pots with water. In the process of serving, it became wine. The quantity of wine you will have is a function of the amount of water in your pot. Let us learn some lessons from this story. First, the fact that Jesus attended the wedding shows that He loves weddings. Genesis 2:18 says, "And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a help meet for him".
Generally, God loves celebrations. Hence, the Bible is full of feasts: feast of unleavened bread, feast of harvest, feast of in-gathering, feast of wheat, feast of tabernacles, feast of trumpets, etc. God wants each of your years full of celebration. He loves giving people joy, hence Psalm 16:11 says your empty container of joy can be refilled in God's presence. If God wants your joy full, then He will not permit sorrow to come to you. Hence Proverbs 10:22 says, "The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it". Our God is not a God of sorrow but of joy. Heaven is agog with joy. If you have a taste of Heaven through your new birth, you cannot but partake of the joy in Heaven. Psalm 100:1 says you should celebrate, while Psalm 32:11 says because you are a child of God, you should make a joyful noise unto God. This year, God's desire concerning the fullness of your joy shall be granted. You shall celebrate this season. Have you been trusting God for your wedding? The One who made the wedding in Cana to be a success will surely make a way for you in Jesus name. Take heart, beloved. Your celebration cometh!
ACTION POINT
If Satan's programme of sorrow is not cancelled, God's programme of joy cannot be realized. Ask God to cancel hell's programme of sorrow aimed at you, your family, loves ones and church members.

ATTITUDE TO CHANGE
MEMORIZE: "Let every man abide in the same calling wherein he was called" (1 Cor. 7:20)
READ: 1 Corinthians 7:17-24
“Let every man abide in the same calling wherein he was called" (1 Cor. 7:20) One thing most human beings do not want, but which they may need in certain situations is change. People are very slow to accept and adapt to new ways of doing things, or new leadership. This attitude is equally common in the church. The Early church was commanded to take the Gospel to different parts of the world. But because they did not want change, they remained in Jerusalem until God stirred up persecution against them. Every child of God must welcome change. Sometimes as a worker, you could be posted from one department to another or from one parish to another. Whenever this happens, know that the change is for your good. Some workers resist inter-departmental movements because they feel they are removed from their area of calling.
In reality, what partly determines where you are sent is where vacancies exist. If you are called to be a teacher but the church has need of evangelists, your pastor may assign you to Evangelism department. You should humbly go there because God wants you to serve Him in that department. When your pastor assigns you to a department but you fail to go, know that you are in disobedience. From that moment, you are on your own, working for yourself. That also means that you are the one to reward yourself. God has a purpose for taking you through different departments. He may want you to learn what is done in the various departments so as to prepare you for something bigger. Some of the most proficient pastors today went through various departments as workers.
When the Lord arrested Saul on his way to Damascus in Acts 9:6, he asked Him, 'What do you want me to do?' That is the reply God expects from us. What is important at the end of the day is not what we want to do, but what He wants us to do. Some workers have transferred themselves from their original assignment for personal reasons, without the approval of the One who sent them. This is dangerous. It is a transfer out of relevance. Heaven does not recognize where such believers are. As God said to Adam, 'Where are you?' The Lord is calling, 'My son, my daughter, where are you?' Restitute your ways today. Return to your department, or parish. The blessings of God will only meet you where God located you. Your packages from Heaven will locate you only at the address God placed you.

List 10 reasons you do not want a change. Also list 10 possible reasons God may want that change. Compare both but yield to His will.

CUP OF COLD WATER
MEMORIZE: "I have shewed you all things, how that so laboring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive" (Acts 20:35)
READ: Exodus 2:1-10
God expects us to cater for those He brings our way. According to Matthew 10:42, a cup of cold water offered to others attracts a reward. In a sense, a cup of cold water could be symbolic. Water is something very vital to which almost everyone has access. That means that God expects you to be hospitable to strangers, visitors, first comers and new converts because He has already deposited within you something precious that can benefit them. Serving the water cold refers to the need for extra effort in using what you have for the good of others.
Your cup of cold water could be a warm handshake, encouraging words, efforts at following up a new comer or convert to your church; meeting a financial or material need of someone, standing in the gap for an embattled brother or sister, etc. Dishing out a cup of cold water can bring unquantifiable reward. Besides, you cannot tell the impact it will make on the recipients’ destiny. You might even be fortunate to serve it to a potential child of destiny. According to today's reading, when Pharaoh's daughter saw baby Moses in the basket at river Nile, she assumed he was a motherless baby. She had a cup of cold water to offer him, and she never kept it back. She took him up, named him and raised him in the palace without knowing she was nursing a national deliverer, and one of the most anointed men in history!
There are several children of destiny among those attending your house fellowship, bible study or Sunday school. You can never tell if one of those 'little ones' you are serving a cup of cold water would become the president, a governor or a very influential person tomorrow. Never keep your cup to yourself. As a young convert, we normally attended Bible study on Tuesdays. It was agreed between my wife and I that I should come for Bible study straight from work. One Tuesday, I was so occupied with official assignments that I had to skip lunch. On getting to church, I was very hungry. A brother called me aside and served me food. Up till now, I cannot tell how he knew that I was hungry. Although this incident took place in 1973, yet every time I recall that day, I pray for the brother. At that time, he never knew he was feeding a potential General Overseer. Dishing out that cup of cold water can meet a need in the life of your brother. Stop holding back. That deed of kindness could change somebody's life. It can affect somebody's destiny. Never joke with it!

TARGET THE ROOT
MEMORIZE: "Go, I pray you, prepare yet, and know and see his place where his haunt is, and who hath seen him there: for it is told me that he dealeth very subtilly" (1 Samuel 23:22)

To deal effectively with a problem, wisdom demands that you take it from its roots. A tree that is cut down does not cease to grow. With time, it gets nourishment from its former source and springs up again. The only time you are assured of total victory is when the enemy is uprooted. It is not enough for Goliath to fall. He can rise again after recovering strength. Until the head is off, there should be no celebration. Many of us still engage in premature celebration of a victory. Put such celebrations on hold until victory is total. King Saul knew better than many of us.
Some brothers from the same parents struggled through life. One of them was a pastor. The difficulty encountered in that family negatively affected his ministry. Growth was hampered. He struggled with his finances. At a point of frustration, he cried out to God to reveal the root cause. The Lord asked him to go and see his mother back home. On visiting home, after narrating the ordeal of all the brothers, he asked her what could be the cause for lack of progress in the family. She told him the only thing she could recall took place several years before. At that time, she was a spinster. Her parents were wealthy and quite influential. An incidence involving their family occurred which led to the death of a member of one of the less privileged families in their neighborhood. But instead of proper restitution or justice from the court of law, the family used their wealth to bury the matter.
What they thought was over, was just beginning. The aggrieved family made certain pronouncements. They said if there was no more wealth in that family, they would cease to oppress the poor. Since then, wealth, progress and the likes became a rarity. As they rubbed minds, they decided to trace that family. They found one aged man still alive. When confronted with the facts of the case, the man confirmed it. They asked how they could right their wrong and he said the victim of oppression had not been buried for lack of money. He said if they can give him a befitting burial, they would be left off the hook. They did. Not long afterwards, wealth, prosperity and progress returned to their family. The pastor's ministry witnessed a boom and became largely successful. Many people are where they are in spite of fasting, deliverance and other efforts because attempts at resolving their matter are not getting at the root. Ask God to unveil the root of that problem to you. Take necessary corrective measures and you will be free.
ACTIONPOINT
The only path to solving a problem is when efforts are directed at the source. Ask God to show you the root cause of that persistent problem in your life.
TARGET THE ROOT

To deal effectively with a problem, wisdom demands that you take it from its roots. A tree that is cut down does not cease to grow. With time, it gets nourishment from its former source and springs up again. The only time you are assured of total victory is when the enemy is uprooted. It is not enough for Goliath to fall. He can rise again after recovering strength. Until the head is off, there should be no celebration. Many of us still engage in premature celebration of a victory. Put such celebrations on hold until victory is total. King Saul knew better than many of us.

BIBLE IN A YEAR: Act 19-20
THE SUPER MEAL
MEMORIZE: "As yet I am as strong this day as I was in the day that Moses sent me: as my strength was then, even so is my strength now, for war, both to go out, and to come in"
(Joshua 14:11)
READ: Joshua 14:6-15
“He causeth the grass to grow for the cattle, and herb for the service of man: that he may bring forth food out of the earth" (Psalm 104:14). The food you eat has a way of determining what happens to you. Physical food determines physical growth patterns. Expecting physical food to take care of spiritual hunger often leads to disappointments. God's Word is food for your soul and spirit. When taken, it also affects the body. There is a meal you can take that can positively affect your tripartite nature-spirit, soul and body, as well as your surrounding. It is a physical-turned-spiritual meal. It is a meal you should not miss. It is the Holy Communion.
Some 45 years earlier, Caleb ate this meal (Passover) and later said that he retained his youthful strength even at 85 years. When the promised land was being divided, while others were looking for portions with weak enemies, Caleb asked for the mountains which harbored the giants. He was given and he dispossessed the giants of their land. Eating the Holy Communion has a way of rejuvenating you. It renews your strength and staggers the ageing process. Psalm 105:37 says that when the children of Israel ate the Passover meal, it eradicated weaklings from their nation.
There was no invalid, weak or sick person in a nation because of a meal! Do you know if you take this meal according to Heaven's prescription, no sickness can remain in your body? When this meal is taken into the body, it becomes a spiritual antibody, and antitoxin, and therefore preys on every bacterium, virus or germ and their accompanying ailment.
In John 6:54, our Lord Jesus Christ said that this meal provides eternal life for the eater. In other words, if the meal is taken the way it should, it makes reservations for your heavenly home and assists you to get there. If you take this meal without obtaining these results, it is a clear evidence that something is wrong somewhere. Most probably, you have not met with Heaven's conditions. Harboring sins not confessed, bitterness, envy, unforgiveness, etc. can render the meal ineffective. Also, if you take the meal in unbelief, it will not work. Remember it is a spiritual meal. You can activate it through faith. Release your faith. Tie your expectations to the results a similar meal has produced in Scriptures. Look up to God to see Him repeat that miracle in your life. And it shall be so.

BIBLE IN A YEAR: Act 15-18
HEAVENLY MANSIONS
MEMORIZE: "For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God" (Hebrews 11:10)
READ: Hebrews 11:13-16
Contrary to what obtains in Heaven, earth is a place replete with problems. Consequences of the fall of man - sicknesses, diseases, poverty, sorrow, stagnancy etc. abound on earth. Certain problems defy solutions, hence it is commonly said that the earth has hands in persistent problems. Just as earth is a place, so also Heaven is a place. Isaiah 66:1 says Heaven is God's throne, hence joy and everlasting pleasures are present there (Psalm 16:11). According to Revelation 21:4, repercussions of sin which are common to earth are nonexistent in Heaven. Pain, sorrow, death, etc. are no more. There is no night or darkness in Heaven, hence no demon can operate there (Revelation 22:5). Heaven is a place of unimaginable splendor. Mansions are built of the highest quality of gold and assorted precious stones. The streets are paved with the finest of gold that they look like glass with golden strands. It is a place of wealth, prosperity and luxury of the highest kind. You will not miss Heaven in Jesus' Name.

If you are opportune to visit the various countries of the world, you will see some very special architectural masterpieces. You will wonder how men were able to design such houses. Imagine how the houses that are built by God; the Architect of architects; would be! He does and plans with precision. He makes no mistakes. If you have truly received Jesus as your Lord, there is a mansion for you, with your name attached to it. God used your taste on earth, and added part of His taste to it. Your mansion is a magnificent masterpiece which has no rival on earth. It has different rooms that are beautifully furnished.
Some people have had to visit Heaven and are shown their heavenly eternal abode. Today's reading talks of some patriarchs of old who got a glimpse of their heavenly home and suddenly lost taste for earthly ones. They chose to live as pilgrims and strangers on earth so that nothing robs them of their eternal home. They held loosely to earthly possessions so as not to miss what they saw. Today, many believers are distracted. The reason some will not make it to Heaven is because they are carried away by the limited pleasure and affluence of this present age. In John 14:1-3, Jesus promised to go and prepare a mansion for each of us. The day you were born again, the bank of Heaven released some materials for your mansion to be built. More materials come with your obedience to God. I would like to visit you in your heavenly mansion. Make sure nothing hinders your making it to Heaven.

BIBLE IN A YEAR: Act 13-14
FORCES TYING THE HANDS
MEMORIZE: "The slothful hideth his hand in his bosom; it grieveth him to bring it again to his mouth" (Proverbs 26:15)
READ: Judges 15:11-19
The root cause of retrogression, stagnancy and lack of progress in the lives of many is bondage. When we speak of bondage, there are three possibilities. It could be that the hands of the individual are tied. When someone tells you his hands are tied, it means that the fellow is intimidated by bigger or more influential forces, hence inability to perform on the issue at stake. Some years ago, at the trial of a great Nigerian, the judge said, 'I would love to set you free but my hands are tied'. As a result, the accused remained incarcerated. There are yet quite a lot of people whose hands are tied, not with ropes, but by unseen forces. Every force that is tying your hands shall be roasted by fire.
One of the forces capable of tying a man's hands is poverty. Several people would like to build churches for God, but for poverty. Some people would like to dance all the way from their villages to the Convention if only they could afford the bus fare. Some believers grieve over the needy state of fellow believers and the church of God, but they are helplessly tied up by poverty. Everything tying your hands shall be removed today in Jesus name. In 1 Kings 17:10-12, when the man of God came to the widow of Zarephath and requested for food, she told him she would have loved to spend lavishly on him but her hands were tied. Poverty keeps its victims as servants of those that have already escaped from its prison. You shall escape from the prison house of poverty in Jesus' Name.
Another thing that can bind a man's hands is sickness. The sick lacks physical energy and vitality to undertake basic assignments. In Matthew 8:14-15, Jesus paid a visit to Peter and met his mother-in-law bed ridden. She knew she was supposed to entertain her guest. She desired to do so too. But she could not get up from the bed until Jesus healed her. Immediately she was healed, she ministered to the Lord. Some ministers and workers are not in excellent state of health. This is seriously affecting their secular and ministerial performance. They are willing but the hands of their well being are tied. There is no way you can fulfill your destiny if your health is tied. Some have died out of ill-health without completing their assignments. That shall not be your portion. Every sickness tying your well being is destroyed.
From now on, you will live in sound health. Your body shall be strong. Your body will remain strong until you fulfill your destiny and assignment. You are released from the clutches of sickness and diseases today!
ACTIONPOINT
Ask God to destroy forces limiting your potentials in every facet of life. Pray that God would liberate members of your church.
